Korea Nuclear Power Robotics Co., Ltd. signs MOU with UAE nuclear equipment company Equilibrium

Korea Nuclear Power Robotics Co., Ltd. (KNR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Equilibrium, a nuclear equipment supplier for the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Through this partnership, KNR aims to provide its advanced maintenance technologies to global nuclear facilities, including the Barakah plant, enhancing nuclear safety and operational efficiency.

The Barakah Nuclear Power Plant is the first commercial nuclear power facility in the Middle East and a key project in the UAE's nuclear industry. This agreement opens up opportunities for KNR’s miniature EDM in-bore system and in-bore laser cutting and welding technology for pipe interiors to be applied to Barakah, further advancing nuclear maintenance solutions.

KNR has established itself as a leader in nuclear maintenance technology through successful achievements such as the foreign material removal project for Korea’s Kori Nuclear Power Plant, collaboration with Doosan Enerbility, and being selected as a next-generation nuclear company in the Super-Gap 1000+ Program. Leveraging this expertise, KNR plans to expand its supply of maintenance and foreign material management solutions to the global nuclear market, including the UAE's Barakah plant.

Moving forward, KNR will continue to enhance nuclear safety and efficiency through its cutting-edge maintenance technologies while actively exploring new collaboration opportunities in the global nuclear industry.
